Details about these awards are available on the MSA Conference website: http://msa.press.jhu.edu/conferences/msa11/grad.html If you would like to be considered for such an award, please send the following information in an email to MSA President Sean Latham by September 1, 2009. email: sean-latham@utulsa.edu deadline: September 1, 2009 Information required: * your name; * your e-mail; * your institutional affiliation (Department and University); * your year in your graduate program; * the date your dissertation proposal was approved; * the amount of funding you expect to receive from your home institution or other sources, and whether this funding is confirmed or anticipated; * total projected travel expenses (excluding lodging) for your trip to Montreal (broken down by airfare, train, bus, etc.); please indicate fare type: e.g. regular economy (non-peak times); discounted fare, etc. * the role you will take in the upcoming conference (seminar/panel organizer; seminar/ panel/forum/WAYR participant). Note that travel funds are limited and students may receive an MSA travel grant only once. Every effort will be made to inform applicants of the results of the awards by or before September 30. Please register as soon as possible, as it will allow more time for seminars to begin their conversations. Even if you are not registering for a seminar or making an A/V request, you may want to keep in mind that the cost of general registration goes up after September 28.
