Dear Colleagues --

I write to announce a new issue of Post45 -- How to Be Now -- focusing on contemporary literature and culture.

Please find the special issue here:

http://post45.research.yale.edu/sections/issue/issue-2-how-to-be-now/

The issue features essays by Aida Levy-Hussen ("Boredom in Contemporary African American Literature"), C. Namwali Serpell ("The Word of the Year"), Rachel Greenwald Smith ("Fuck the Avant-Garde"), Keston Sutherland ("Sean Bonney's Hate Poems"), Sunny Xiang ("Global China as Genre"), and Damon R. Young ("Ironies of Web 2.0"). The issue is edited by Sarah Chihaya, Joshua Kotin, and Kinohi Nishikawa.

Many of the essays consider the legacy of modernism.

Sincerely,

Joshua Kotin
