Dear Modernist Studies Association members,

If you will be at the MLA Conference in Seattle in January, I hope you will consider attending the MSA co-sponsored panel (in collaboration with the MLA Languages, Literatures and Cultures 20th and 21st C division) on “Modernist Indigeneity in the World.” The panel is at 12:00 noon on Saturday January 11th in 401, WSCC.

  1. “Indigeneity as Question and Task,” Ben Conisbee Baer, Princeton University
  2. “’A New Departure’: The Worldliness of Indigenous Pacific Texts in the Early Twentieth Century,” Alice Te Punga Somerville, The University of Waikato, New Zealand
  3. “Modernist Indigeneity and World Revolution,” Steven Lee, University of California, Berkeley.

Happy holidays and safe travels,
