Modernist Colleagues:

PLEASE CONSIDER SUBMITTING A PROPOSAL FOR A CONFERENCE ON 'MARIANNE MOORE AND THE ARCHIVES' TO BE HELD IN BUFFALO, NY, MAY 22-24, 2020.

"Marianne Moore and the Archives" will focus on Moore in relation to archival collections and practices, broadly understood. We encourage paper proposals drawing on research conducted at the Rosenbach Library or on the Marianne Moore Digital Archive, but also proposals on Moore's appearance in other modernist archives, in relation to networks of her friends and peers or to current theories and practices of archiving, or on Moore herself as a librarian, a collector, and a self-archivist. Attention to topics traditional archives may occlude is also welcome, as are all fresh and innovative approaches to Moore.

Proposals due Oct. 1, 2019. No more than 300 words, for a 15-20 minute paper or a roundtable presentation (7 minutes). Do not submit a panel. Please include a bio (50 words or fewer). Send proposals to Stacy Hubbard at sch1 at buffalo.edu.
