Dear all,

The Diaspora Studies group at Penn State welcomes submissions to our
Emerging Scholars Workshop: "New Perspectives on Violence and Revolution in
the African Diaspora." The workshop is scheduled for April 4-5, 2014.
Please find the CFP attached. Submissions are due by November 30, 2013. The
George and Ann Richards Civil War Era Center will cover lodging costs and
award small stipends to presenters.

This workshop will be interdisciplinary, so you are encouraged to share the
CFP widely with advanced graduate students, postdocs, and junior faculty
(early career scholars within three years of having received a PhD) in any
of the humanistic fields (including, but not certainly not limited to,
English, Philosophy, African and African American Studies, Comparative
Literature, Women's Studies, and History). Please don't hesitate to contact
me with any questions.

Warm regards,
Susan Weeber, on behalf of the Diaspora Studies Workshop
